Hi, I’m Suzy! Welcome to Axes and Ohs, a space where adventure, empowerment, and creativity collide.

I’m a world-class axe thrower (I recently placed 3rd in the world—what a ride!) with a passion for breaking barriers and redefining what it means to throw like a girl. Axe throwing might seem rough and rugged, but for me, it’s an art form—a blend of focus, strength, and sheer joy.

Beyond the target, I’m a proud Nova Scotian who finds inspiration in the beauty of my home province. From paddling tranquil rivers to exploring the coastline, the great outdoors fuels my adventurous spirit. As the Director of Marketing and Tourism for the Municipality of Barrington, I’m lucky to share Nova Scotia’s wonders with the world while championing local businesses, craft beer, and the vibrant communities that make this place so special.

Axes and Ohs isn’t just about my journey in sport—it’s about celebrating women breaking stereotypes, embracing the wild within, and finding purpose in every throw, every adventure, and every connection we make along the way.

When I’m not throwing axes or exploring, you can find me sipping a local brew, supporting small businesses, fueling my creative spirit or dreaming up new ways to inspire others to stay wild and live boldly.
